With the arrival of the shiny new international rail terminal at St Pancras, King's Cross is suddenly the place to be. Owned by the same folks as Cargo this Spanish bar and restaurant is testament to that. A recent topper of an Observer Food Monthly best bar poll, inside it is decorated with abundant stripped wood and earthy colours, a look that is both contemporary and suitably rustic: London with an Iberian edge. There's a nifty wine list, which features a number of sherries, plus several Spanish beers on offer. The bar area is spacious and lively and there's an adjoining restaurant serving decent, filling Spanish fare as well as tempting Tapas-style nibbles. Staff are friendly and the whole venue has a relaxed, post-work chill out vibe that is very agreeable indeed.
