10 January 2019

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! As we wind down and enjoy being reunited with our loved ones, we can’t think of a better way to spend our evenings than watching Christmas classics together in our PJs, delicious cocktails in hand.
Christmas movies are our favorite part of the Holidays, so we had a hard time narrowing the list down to 3. But we think you’ll agree with us that these beloved classics truly and fully encapsulate the magic of the season, each in its own special way.
Without further ado, here are our top 3 ultimate Holiday movies and their perfect (and easy to make) cocktail match.
How the Grinch Stole Christmas – Candy Cane Martini

What’s red, white and tastes as cool as the Grinch’s heart? Why, peppermint candy canes of course! We turned the classic striped Christmas candy into a deliciously sweet, minty and chocolatey cocktail that’s sure to perk you right up.
Rim a chilled Martini glass with crushed candy cane, pour in a few drops of grenadine and set aside.
Combine 1 1/4 oz vanilla vodka, 1 1/4 oz white crème de cacao and 3/4 oz peppermint schnapps into a shaker with ice.
Shake until very cold.
Gently pour into your Martini glass with the grenadine at the bottom for a beautiful gradient effect, garnish with a whole candy cane and enjoy.
Home Alone – White Russian Ice Cream Sundae

Who doesn’t remember Kevin McCallister’s glorious, towering ice cream sundae? Featuring at least a dozen scoops, topped with heaps of cherries and chocolate sauce galore… that kid was living the dream for all of us. Here’s our grown up version for an indulgent treat that’s guaranteed to satisfy your sweet tooth.
Combine 1 2/3 oz vodka and 2/3 oz coffee liqueur into an ice-filled old fashioned glass, float 1oz heavy cream on top, and stir slowly. Set aside.
Place 3 scoops of your ice cream of choice – vanilla, chocolate or coffee work best – in a bowl or mug.
Strain the White Russian over the ice cream and go crazy with the garnishes! Cherries, warm chocolate sauce or Nutella, whipped cream, graham crackers, marshmallows, sprinkles… or all the above. It’s ok, your dentist doesn’t need to know.
Love Actually – Pimm’s Royale

Love Actually has been one of those feel-good Holiday movies we simply can’t get enough of since it came out in 2003. Yes, we’ve watched it at least 17 times. Sweet, bubbly and chic, this festive riff on the quintessentially British Pimm’s Cup is the movie’s perfect pairing – one that you’ll also want to enjoy over and over again.
Pour 1 oz Pimm’s No. 1 into a tall glass, top with 3 oz chilled Brut champagne and stir gently with a spoon.
Add 3 to 4 ice cubes, 4 lemon wheels cut in half, 2 sliced strawberries and 4 thin slices of cucumber. Garnish with a few mint leaves and a sprig of rosemary and serve.
Can you feel the Holiday cheer?
