The gleaming white Conrad Algarve with its palms and its balconies is a contemporary luxury retreat with something of the ocean liner about it. Sun-washed and elegant, it boasts a number of glorious places to drink and dine, including the sleek modern Lago lounge in the lobby. It’s a great place to unwind, whether sipping one of their selection of Sri Lankan tea by day or partaking of a classic cocktail in the evening; there’s a good list and wines and champagnes (it’s a champagne kind of place) as well as a selection of patisserie delights. The bar is well stoked and boasts a very winning living room atmosphere, all soft, inviting leather armchairs and polished wood, and it also benefits from an extensive terrace area overlooking the gardens and pools, the perfect place to relax with a glass of something chilled and soak up some sun.
