This seriously sleek bar in the 10th floor at the voguish WestCord Fashion Hotel, which is located down by the A10 ring road making it pretty much perfect for business travellers, boasts brilliant city views (particularly after dark) and an accomplished cocktail list. The drinks menu features around a dozen drinks. There are classics like the Dark and Stormy and the ubiquitous Pornstar Martini with its champagne chaser, as well as a number of house creations; of the latter the Skyy is the Limit blends citrus vodka with strawberry and lemon juice, and sugar for a fruity drink with a sour edge. The Wake Up Call meanwhile is a mix of Dutch spirit genever, with espresso, butterscotch liqueur, and hazelnut syrup, a decadent drink with a coffee kick. The 1001 Nights in New Delhi blends gin, with kafir lime leaves, freshly squeezed orange juice, grenadine syrup, and lemongrass to aromatic effect and we also like the sound of the Air Mail, which pairs rum, with lemon juice, honey, and a splash of champagne. The large room is glitzy if a little dated, all shine and tile, with large windows to better appreciate the excellent view. Bar bites incorporate Dutch and Asian elements and include lobster bitterballs, mini Wagyu burgers and mini cheese soufflés. The place is particularly lively on weekends with sets from the resident DJ on Saturday nights, meaning the bar stays busy until closing time.
