The newest branch of the popular Mexican-style cantina, the fourth in a local mini-chain, Los Pilones Jordaan boasts a menu of true Mexican classics. Really authentic and seriously tasty plates lke cochinita pibil, flautas, and smoky mole sauce. This commitment to autheticity is also true of their inventive drinks list. These guys serve real-deal, margaritas with a little extra jug of tequila on the side. They also offer one of our favourite tipples, the Michelada, a Mexican pick-me-up made of beer, tomato juice, and their own house blend of spices. The bar is seriously well stocked with tequilas and many mezcals and the staff all know their stuff and are happy to offer advice on their favourite tipples if your feeling daunted. The atmosphere is stylish and lively too.
