Razmataz is all things to everyone, a versatile space encompassing a restaurant, coffee house and café-bar. Located in a popular square in a residential part of town just west of the main tourist centre, it’s a stylish operation. The bar area is particularly welcoming, sporting an abundance of comfy sofas and a large book case, making it feel a bit like a living room complete with selection of board games. The bar in this living room is particularly well stocked however with plenty of wines and beers as well as popular pre-dinner tipples. They also recently launched a range of 15 types of gin each of which comes with its own herb or citrus garnish and a choice of tonic waters to pair with them. The main restaurant area serves an array of tasty, well-made Italian and French dishes confit duck, steak tartare, a delicate veal dish served with prawns and asparagus be sure to save room for their truly wicked delice de chocolat afterwards and maybe pair it with a rich, sweet dessert wine from the wine list or a potent digestif. The waiting staff are friendly, the prices wallet-friendly and there’s a terrace area for summer drinking and dining, should the weather allow, which let’s face it in Amsterdam isn’t always a given.
