The Roosevelt Room
May 11, 2018
In recent years, Austin, Texas has become famous the world over for being one of the best cities to eat and drink in the entire United States, and the recent addition of The Roosevelt Room is only serving to cement that reputation.
Set in the heart of Austin’s ultra-hip Warehouse District, The Roosevelt sprawls out over multiple levels in one stylish cavernous space. The main bar area downstairs is swanky to say the least, featuring polished concrete floors, marble, plush scarlet red upholstery, and crystalline lighting fixtures; while the mezzanine offers an ‘indoor terrace’ feel, with slick Chesterfield couches balanced out by a breezy vibe provided by strings of hanging patio lights.
Yes, the aesthetics are certainly the utmost of pleasing, but it’s the drinks that have the crowds coming back night after night. The house concoctions are all creatively put together and some like The Poet’s Muse (premium gin, signature cordial, citrus, and umami tincture) have even collected awards. A couple other of our favorites are the toasty Lonesome Dove (premium tequila, grapefruit, lime, cinnamon syrup, and vanilla) and the colorful Huli Pau (premium dark rum, aloe juice, coconut cream, pineapple, mint, tarragon, and peanut oil). Rest assured, they are also masters of all classic cocktails here in addition to having a fine wine and beer selection. You’ll likely notice that The Roosevelt Room declares “cheers to you!” on their menu as a thanks to its guests, and we say it right back at them.
