DND (Do Not Disturb)
May 11, 2018
This relative newcomer on Thonglor’s fast-growing nightlife scene is quickly becoming one of the area’s hottest clubs for serious party-lovers. The focus is very much on dance and EDM music – which means house, techno, big-room and pop remixes – but they also host the occasional live band here too. The unusual retro motel theme extends from the name right the way through to the decor. The interior is divided into the different “areas” of a hotel, including a barber shop-style smoking room, while other details include vintage TVs on the walls, old suitcases stacked in piles and shiny chrome tables that resemble luggage carts. There’s no dance-floor as such, but plenty of space to throw some shapes. In common with other Thai clubs, it’s usual practice to order spirits by the bottle, particularly if you want to secure a table for the night. It may seem pricey, but they come with free-flowing mixers, and there are promotions for buying multiple bottles, with the option of taking home what you don’t drink or leaving it for your next visit. Upstairs there’s also a Japanese-style bar, which is open from 6pm to 1am and is a great place to grab some food and pre-party drinks before hitting the nightclub.
