The 100-year-old pink villa is a den of delicious drinks and genius flavour. Namsaah Bottling Trust, named after the houses’ previous tenants (a sparkling water bottling warehouse) is now a buzzing nightlife scene in Bangkok. Designed by master chef Ian Kittichai and nightlife pros- Justin Dunne and Fred Mayer, Namsaah is an impressive gastro bar with a twist.
The ground floor bar offers a new stamp on the classic cocktails. With over 30 cocktail recipes, the creative mixologists have managed to incorporate Asian flavours into our all-time favourites. Order a Negroni and you won’t be disappointed with the Infusion of tangerine juice and roasted mandarin, as it will be like none you have ever tasted. Also recommended is the flavoursome whisky sours, which have special sangsom whiskey mixed with salted caramel. Yum! Don’t worry non-drinkers, this bar has thought about everyone, and provide a wicked mocktail menu too!
The first floor of the house contains a more formal ‘a la cart’ restaurant. Chef Kittichai is taking typical Asian comfort food and spicing it up to be a blend of oriental flavours within a full dining experience. Try some of our personal favourite-salmon tartare wanton tacos to start you off. The red beef curry also sits amazingly alongside the unique ‘Krungthep cosmo’ cocktail.
With music guru Fred Mayer as a co-founder it is no wonder that some international DJ’s play here. Most nights have live DJ’s so you can enjoy the energetic nightlife with some new cocktails in your hand.
While you are here make sure to check out the bar’s beautiful garden terrace, which is ideal for chilling out on as the sun goes down. Credit Photo: https://www.instagram.com/namsaahbottlingtrust/
