Boasting a long, sleek, black bar, a grass floor, leafy palms and inviting daybeds, this pre-party spot is ideal for drinking in both cocktails and sunsets the 360 degree views across the lower Sukhumvit skyline are pretty spectacular. The rooftop lounge is right in the middle of one of Bangkok’s prime party districts, but up here the chaos of the streets below feels miles away. It’s open to the sky in dry months, while awnings provide protection when it turns wet. The drinks list takes in some forgotten classics and signature cocktails include Spicy Mango Margaritas and Campari Fresco. Martinis are served in a chilled, stemless glass, or share a party punch with friends if you want to start your night off with a kick. And the Asian-Euro fusion bar food is inspired – with options from the grill, satisfying salads or tapas platters, and some very tasty breakfast offerings if you’re up and about in the morning. Prices are refreshingly reasonable, with no sign of a cover charge or the surcharge common for rooftop destinations. The vibe is relaxed, making it a good place to snuggle up with a date, chill before hitting one of BKK’s clubs or enjoy a few after dinner drinks. The music is eclectic, everything from 80s Old School to R&B, with a wide range of resident DJs as well as guest spots from some well-known international names, live music, and special party nights when the club atmosphere is turned up a few notches. There’s even live jazz on Sundays.
