Formally a Moroccan joint, the bar’s had a rejig to give it a livelier open-air vibe. The space is decked out, as was the original with colourful retro furniture. The place is still popular with many of the old clientele and there’s regular music and club nights including guitar and cello from Pack Man on Wednesdays and garage rock from Run Ran Run. Fridays are soul music nights while Sundays are more experimental. They serve a really nice line in spicy Thai spicy food – try the roti stuffed with canned mackerel, it’s full of flavour, or opt for the fried rice with pork oil. In term of drinks there’s a decent selection of bottled beer (Singha, Heineken and Leo, B120) as well as some stronger stuff.
