The Met Bar
May 11, 2018
A palace of dark sultry wooden furniture contrasted by bright white walls and limestone mosaics- the Met Bar creates a lively and modern atmosphere for drinking.
As part of the metropolitan hotel, you can expect nothing less than first class. The Met bar is a cove of chilled out music in the day and lively international DJ’s of the evening. Regular DJ’s include ‘DJ Rabbit disco’.
The Met Bar is well-known in Bangkok for its outstanding cocktails which are infused with Thai herbs and fruits. Not only do they have a range of 40 different martinis’, but they have drinks from some of the world’s most renowned wine making regions. If an ice cold lychee martini isn’t on your mind, then maybe a glass of aromatic cabernet merlot from south Africa is. From 2-6PM each day the mixologists make some ‘speciality cocktails’ exclusive for their guests. Top tip: ask for a monsoon mango cocktail, which is a combination of mango, basil and rum! Happy hour also runs from 4-9PM.
Charity events are often held here at the Met Bar. Recently a fashion show was held for famous designer Khun Jieb and all profits when to children’s charities. The bar is also available for private hire, for big events to small corporate meetings. Credit Photo: http://www.comohotels.com/metropolitanbangkok/gallery
