A brilliant and popular venue, Carpe Diem in Barcelona can fit several hundred in at a time! With lots of events each week it has a great laid back vibe.

The hot bar and lounge club CDLC is located under what looks like two desert tents pitched on a spacious lawn just off Gregoria Maranon. A popular venue for private parties, it can fit several hundred revellers at a time, although most Fridays and Saturdays it is packed with good-looking partygoers from you the public. Thursdays ‘Red Lights Districts’ offers dinner with live shows, while Sweet Tuesdays are a smooth R&B night, with sets from DJ Yoda. With friendly service, a laid back but cool vibe and lots of comfy seating think lounging beds and sofas it’s been known to attract the odd footballer and TV face, so be sure you keep your eyes peeled when you’re in there. Cocktails include the usual suspects including a frozen margarita if you are feeling the heat though we’d be tempted by a Splash (vodka, Southern Comfort, Lychee juice and soda) or, because we’re geeks at heart, the Doctor Who (Amaretto, tequila, Sprite and papaya, though you’ll be disappointed if you expect it to be bigger on the inside). There’s a decent selection of wines and champagnes on offer, too though given the style-heavy décor, you know in advance that none of it is going to be cheap. The food menu takes a casual stroll round the globe, taking in everything from sushi and sashimi to pasta and rice, with a whole load of stops on the way save room for the tasty desserts. The venue is a huge spot for post-bar raves, so expect to be going until the early hours if you make it over here.
