Formerly known as The Drive-Thru, entrepreneur Ryan Johnston’s Trouble Bar, newly relocated to China View, is the place to go for good beer (amongst other things), stocking everything from Pabst Blue Ribbon to more considered craft brews, both local and international, over 200 labels in fact, including Widmer Brothers Alchemy Ale. There’s also a small menu of cocktails to choose from. It’s a smart space, cosy and welcoming, with hardwood floors, a jukebox charging and more sophisticated atmosphere than many bottle shops. It helps that the staff know their stuff and can you talk you through the beers on offer. Spread over two floors, it boasts a foosball table and an abundance of comfy lounge seating. A craft food menu is on the cards and you can even buy bike parts there should you wish as there’s an in-house bike-shop.
