Aira, as the name implies, is a light-filled, chic space swags of white cotton canopy the elegant bar area and ornate lanterns dangle overhead. Located on a fourth floor roof top, the twinkling stars of the night sky create an ambience that no money could buy. Directly opposite the Forum Mall, this is a stylish yet relaxed place in which to chill out with friends over a drink or two. Get there before 9pm and you can take advantage of one of the longest happy hours around. Well-made vodka and white rum-based cocktails feature prominently among the wide range on offer, including potent mojitos and smooth chocotinis (which are exactly as they sound decadent martinis). A good selection of whiskeys, beer and wine fills out the menu, and there are plenty of nice things to nibble on while you sip your drinks. Generously portioned dahi and chicken kebabs are served up alongside dishes like Norwegian salmon tikka and mouth-wateringly tasty cheese cigarillos. The bar staff can be a bit abrupt at times, but the mood is agreeably chilled, with the low key background beats adding to the atmosphere. Thursday is hip-hop night and an in-house DJ who plays requests means that no one stays off their feet for long. Be warned though: the place packs out quickly and seating quickly becomes hard to find. Get there early, set up the drinks, pile your plate with kebabs, kick back with friends and prepare for a star-filled night of fun and just maybe some dancing.
