Comal has a top notch craft cocktail menu that really sets it apart. Based in Berkeley the Mexican restaurant has a great terrace area and busy buzzing bar.

is an above average modern Mexican restaurant with a top notch craft cocktail
menu which really sets it apart. These are some smart tasty drinks, many with
an on-trend culinary focus. The bar was originally set up by Josh Harris and
Scott Baird (aka the Bon Vivants) three years ago, and is now run by Matthew
Campbell. Drinks include the Joaquin
Murrieta, a blend of Tres Agaves Reposado, Carpano Antica, Amaro
Montenegro, orange bitters, and lemon zest, and the Lee Trevino, a blend of mango black tea-infused Cimarron, Meyer
lemon marmalade, and wheat beer. It goes without saying they make a
superlative margarita and there are tequila and mezcal flights should you
want to expand your palate. The room is large and airy with a buzzing front
bar area and the food is fresh, zesty and full of vibrant flavours – the
courtyard area at the back is heavenly on warm summer nights, the perfect
place to kick back with a drink and a bowl of their house-made chicharrones.
