Fairytale Bar

Offering an experience akin to stepping through the looking glass and walking straight into a wonderland of cocktails, Fairytale has made an otherworldly impact on Berlin’s bar scene since opening.  Located directly across – and taking inspiration – from the enchanting Fountain of Fairytales in the Volkspark Friedrichshain, the bar has truly taken cocktails bars in Berlin to a another realm. There is a long list of things that are impressive about Fairytale, but it all starts with the decor of the bar, kicked off by the warm welcome you receive from a caterpillar lounging on a mushroom upon entry. The rest of the atmosphere follows suit, full of secret doors, magically lit mirrors, pop-up book menus, and a cabinet loaded with curios like rabbit statues, gilded time pieces, and preserved butterflies under glass like something you would see in a mad scientist’s laboratory.  The laboratory theme carries over to the cocktails, as the potions put together by the mixology team behind Fairytale are as creative and eclectic as the space itself.
