Harry Sassons is one of the best chefs in Bogota so it’s little surprise that his eponymous bar and restaurant (part of a wider Sassons empire) is one of the smartest in Bogota. Boldly designed, the interior is all sleek marble, supple leather, and fresh flowers. There are beautiful mosaics dotted about the place and light streams down into the room through a lattice of beams above. The big draw here is the food and there’s a tempting menu including flame-cooked meats, fish, pasta and salads. There’s an in-house mozzarella bar and a Japanese-style volcanic-stone grill. The bar area is particularly gorgeous and the drinks are as creative and inventive as the food on offer here. The wine list is a thing of beauty, the atmosphere is sophisticated and it goes without saying that reservations are essential.
