The Venner bar lies hidden behind the ballroom of The Bull Hotel, a coaching inn built in 1593. The bar manager Lloyd Brown has created a cocktail list that focuses on giving the classics a West Country twist and tying the menu into the history of the bars namesake Colonel Venner. The bar hosts tasting sessions and masterclasses with brand ambassadors from around the world as well as local food and drink events in the ballroom. With over 50 cocktails on the menu, hundreds of spirits and a great wine list there’s plenty to choose from, try one of their in famous classics the Hedgerow Mojito or James Brown. The Venner bar has won runner up best place to drink in the Observer Awards 2013, 2014 and 2015.
