Busby and Wilds

Located in a less loved corner of Kemp Town, round the corner from the popular Marmalade, Busby & Wilds – which takes it’s name from the architects responsible for much of Regency Kemp Town – is one of the most handsome drinking and dining spots in the part of Brighton. The space which once housed the garish Swan pub has been given a stylish makeover and is now an elegant collage of greys and blues – it also boasts one of the nicest beer gardens in this neck of the woods. The food menu features a superior range of elevated pub classics – fish and chips, pork croquettes, burgers, steaks – but all made with great ingredients and served with care. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and produce is well sourced. There’s also top drinks list, with particularly good selection of craft beers – including Meantime, Brooklyn, Goose Island and various Belgian brews. Cracking wine list too, and the place has a really nice vibe making it a very welcome addition to the neighbourhood. Oh, and they do a wicked Sticky Toffee Pudding.
