Dandy's Rooftop Bar
May 11, 2018
Dandy’s Rooftop Bar is a quirky vintage styled spot, perched atop the Fox Hotel like a colourful bird, all bright and rainbow striped, the décor inspired we gather by 1970s tennis clubs. There are fringed parasols, bird-cage lights and lots of gleaming green and white. On balmy summer nights, there are few better places to sit with a drink among the playschool coloured patio furniture, enjoying a glass of craft beer or one of crisp white wine as the sun starts to set. They do a tempting range of tennis-themed cocktails too: try the signature Dandy’s Ginger Beer, a kind of boozy slushie, mixing fresh pressed ginger, Gosling’s rum, citrus and an ale spice mix, or the Pat Cash Smash, a blend of cherry bourbon, lemon juice, bitters and ginger beer. Those with sweet teeth might want to try the Anna Kournikova, a sugary mix of marshmallow infused vanilla vodka with manuka honey water, coconut and lemon butter. Dessert in liquid form. Food comes care of the charcoal BBQ and the majority of the dishes are designed to share.
