A unique-to-say-the-least bar, restaurant, art space, and concert venue in Bristol, The Gallimaufry has defied the odds to become a master of all.

Drawing its name from a hodgepodge of a stew that was historically whipped up on ships, The Gallimaufry offers an eclectic mix of bar, restaurant, music venue, and arts space for modern-day Bristol. Since its opening in 2012, The Gallimaufry (or just the ‘The Galli’ as most of its friends call it) has become one of the busiest bars on the always-vibrant Gloucester Road. Part of this appeal is assuredly its unique interior, as The Galli sets a funky and free-spirited tone from the start with a mix of colorful mosaics, murals, and reclaimed weathered woods. The Gallimaufry also keeps things quirky and independent on the food and drink menu, and as a result, has become a place for Bristol to linger from midday to midnight. Yes, the fun starts early here, as brunch and coffee are dished out from midday, and are both splendid ways to start the day. Coffee is sourced from local legend Clifton Coffee and the brunch menu is home to modern favorites like avocado with poached eggs & chilli and a creative take on Kedgeree. Lunch and dinner follow along the same delicious lines, and to wash it all down, The Galli pours a rotating collection of fine craft beer (always stocking a couple brewed in Bristol) wine, and cocktails on the side. This is to say nothing of the fact the bar hosts live concerts nearly every night of the week, with artists such as George Ezra having graced its stage. Credit Photo:
