On style terms alone this has to be one of the most impressive venues in Budapest. It’s certainly a striking space, taking on its all-white theme and running with it: white fabric on the walls, white flowers in vases, a light-bathed white bar and hard, angular bar stools that are you’ve guessed it white. This wouldn’t count for much if the place didn’t deliver on atmosphere, but it does. Lavan doubles as a restaurant, but you’re best off sticking to the bar snacks as the flashy environment they’ve gone to considerable pains to create is more conducive to a few lively drinks at the start of your night rather than getting stuck into the full three courses.
