A trendy American bar near the Castle District based on a cinematic theme as the name suggests. Dark and cosy with a bar counter as long as the Danube, it’s popular with a hip yuppie crowd and in-the-know ex-pats. The walls are decked out with posters and stills of Hollywood and Hungarian film stars; soft-backed director’s chairs inhabit the corners; and drinks run from whiskeys and wines to so-so classic cocktails. As for your fellow Oscar-nighters, it’s not always easy to tell in this light, but more than the odd local film star has been known to practice her acceptance speech on one of the bar benches.
