Jazz & Blues

You wouldn’t guess from looking that the chic, sleek Beluga was housed in a former foundry. It’s such an attractive space, cool and minimalist, elegant in the extreme. Located in a former industrial area near the Waterfront, it’s a large, sprawling space, with a stylish cocktail bar and a glorious wine attic (we particularly like this part). The dining area is the place to head for contemporary sushi and other pan-Asian delights served with care and attention and there’s even a more relaxed café for snacks and drinks. Despite its size the place is not short on atmosphere, in fact sometimes it seems a little too confident of its own coolness, but the drinks and the food are seriously good and one simply can’t argue with that.
