Ten Mill Lane

Cardiff is a city known for its nightclubs. Many of its slick venues are home to scintillating scenes that last late into the night, full of beautiful people and some of the finest sound systems and DJs in Wales or the UK. You’ll notice that we didn’t include proper cocktails on that list of attributes, as many nightclubs in Cardiff have had a tendency to lose points in that department over the years. That’s all changed with the arrival of Ten Mill Lane.
Inspired more by cocktails bars than clubs, Ten Mill Lane is a refined space in the city, home to a seasonal cocktail card featuring libations expertly made using homemade syrups, dried fruits, and bitters. Yes, they take their cocktails seriously here, with a range of stunning seasonal drinks always on offer like the recent refreshing-yet-tart Twisting My Melon (made with Ten Mill Lane’s secret negroni formula, watermelon & lemon juice, and peach bitters) and the sweet and creamy Whipped Pig (artisan vodka, fresh lime juice, rhubarb bitters, cider reduction, apple juice, and egg white). But don’t let all this mixology fool you for a second; Ten Mill Lane still knows how to throw a party that Cardiff can be proud of. Yes, the bar lets its hair down with the best of them until daybreak on the weekends, but it does so while trying its very hardest not to spill any of their freshly-shaken cocktails.
