This lively Fulton Market eatery has a festive vibe. Carnivale is a colourful space with terracotta and moss-green walls, splashes of yellow and blue. It’s been around for a while serving food from South America, Spain and the Caribbean but during prime Carnival season, it really turns things up a notch. Expect live samba bands and dancing as well as some really authentic and potent Caipirinhas. The bar boasts a huge list of rum and tequila. Their signature drink is a cotton candy concoction, made with Purity Vodka, cointreau, pomegranate, lime, and cotton candy, while other cocktails include a smoky bacon Bloody Mary, a kicky coffee-laced Disco Latte and a classic Michelada (one of our favourite tipples). They also serve margaritas, sangria (of course) and award-winning mojitos. On the food front there is a range of ceviches, paella and jumbo shrimp as well as a great selection of substantial brunch dishes, including an epic brunch burrito, curro-style waffles and key lime French toast (yum). Perfect for washing down with a cheeky cocktail.
