Chill Out
Nellcote
Chicago-West Loop

Nellcote is from the team behind Old Town Social and exudes promise. Located on already bustling Randolph Street, it has a Euro vibe and takes its name from a French mansion once inhabited by the Rolling Stones. Expect experimental chef-shaken “kitchen cocktails” like the Emotional Rescue, a blend of gin, combier orange, yogurt liqueur, root liqueur and lemon juice, and the Black Limousine, a super smooth mix of rum, absinthe, maple syrup, vanilla cream and egg white. There’s also a well-curated Belgian beer list and an exciting food menu, the emphasis on wood-fired ‘fork and knife’ pizzas (with toppings including their house-made fennel sausage and grilled blue shrimp), crafted with house-milled wheat flour, as well as top notch small plates – braised kale, venison tartare – and an array of tasty house-made pastas. It’s also a superior brunch place, with dishes including lobster hash and an epic breakfast sandwich, all washed down with a house bellini or two.
