Cologne’s Kunstbruder pairs street art with street food. Opened in 2010 by Diana Chyk, this Street Art Gallery showcases her own work and those of other street artists including a few pieces by Banksy, one of biggest names in street art. The space is a gallery, with pieces available for both viewing and buying, but it also has a restaurant area and serves food. In the venue on Händelstrasse, with its stylish and distinctive vintage furnishings, Chyk offers international snacks, including Indian “Chaputi”, tapas dishes and Okonomiyaki, that moreish Japanese mixture of omelette and pancake. There are salads, a large range of vegan dishes, and sweet things, including matcha cake, and there is also a range of liquid treats, It’s a unique space and that’s what really sets it apart – a feast for the eyes and for the mind.
