It’s been around since 1999, but Spirits remains one of the best in town, serving up some properly inventive drinks to a cool crowd. The décor isn’t the snazziest but it’s a warm and welcoming room with buttery yellow walls and red leather bar stools, making for a stylish but also laid-back space with a really appealing vibe. The drinks menu features all the cocktail classics as well as a range of well-made signature drinks. The dapper mixologists know their stuff and are super friendly. The drinks are on the pricey side for Cologne, but you get what you pay for here and it’s worth it. The bar uses the freshest ingredients and they stock a wide range of spirits – which you might well have guessed given the name. Come early as it’s a popular spot. Order one of their crisp martinis and settle into a corner spot – you could happily while away the whole night here, putting the bartenders through their paces.
