The superbly centrally located Barbarellah is great for late night lounging. Inside it’s predictably sleek (this is Copenhagen after all) with cool, eclectic furnishings. Everything fits with everything else and fans of Danish design will be particularly taken with the stylish seating arrangements. There are some decent beers on tap and a fairly comprehensive cocktail list, though it veers towards rum-based drinks. Measures are gleefully large (not always the case in this city) and the late-opening kitchen does a nice line in tapas type things. Sophisticated, welcoming and trendy without being pretentious, Barbarellah is a great place to kick-start your night before hitting one of Copenhagen’s clubs.
