Fugu Cocktailbar

The initials of Fugu stand for Freddy’s Unique Garden Union. As you may well guess from the name, the garden is a big part of this stylish and funky bar. Inside you’ll find a warm wooden interior dotted with white and blue cushions. Tea and coffee cocktails are a big part of the drinks list. There are sharing cocktails served in teapots and their Passionate Ice Tea, based on earl grey infused dark rum, is a favourite with good reason. Fresh fruits and infusions also inform the menu. The Diablo is a blend of liquorice infused Hornitos Reposado, ginger syrup, fresh lime, Marie Brizard Creme de Cassis, Thomas Henry Ginger Beer, while the Mexican Fool blends tequila with Mozart Chocolate liqueurs, fresh raspberries, cream, and hibiscus syrup for a sweet-sharp treat. We like the sound of the Berry Blast which mixes Plymouth Sloe Gin, Marie Brizard Creme de Mure, fresh raspberries, lemon juice, and prosecco. Yum. Bottle service is available if you’re out to make a night of it or want to splash out on champagne and the internal garden, with its heaters and relaxed atmosphere, creates a small urban oasis in the middle of the city.
