Bringing a taste of the debonair drinking dens that sprung to life during Prohibition days in America to Fuengirola, Speakeasy Jazz Club & Cocktails elegantly adds a Spanish twist to this timeless bar style. Walking in to Speakeasy offers quite the contrast from the perpetually sunny skies and soft sand beaches of Fuengirola outside. Inside the club, the sounds of jazz and the sights of flickering candlelight will have you convinced you’ve walked into a smoky hidden hole-in-the-wall, even though the decor itself is quite light and airy. We love the white walls (a bit of the Spanish twist we were talking about), especially the one emblazoned with the word ‘Speakeasy’, which serves as a backdrop for the live performances. Whether you come for the live jazz or a cocktail, you are sure to leave impressed as the artists that take the stage are known for being the finest in this stretch of Spain, and you can certainly say the same about the drinks. All shaken with precision, and garnished exquisitely (we especially love the tiny flowers), Speakeasy serves up a range that varies from century-old favorites like negronis and sidecars to up-to-the-minute mixology stars. Of course, there is also a range of flavourful and fun gin & tonics on offer, and we can’t think of a better place to toast on the entire Costa Del Sol.  chf
