Located within a beautiful listed courthouse building, The Courthouse is a three-in-one venue whipping up tasty food, lively tunes and fruity cocktails.

There aren’t many bars that can pull off eclectic interior design while still maintaining an air of class, yet The Courthouse does it with ease. Housed inside a beautiful old listed courthouse building in the heart of Douglas’ financial district, The Courthouse is a restaurant, bar and nightclub rolled into one. Upstairs, the sleek, modern drinking-and-dining area features a tiled central bar, animal print armchairs, gilded mirrors and curved leather booths while downstairs lies a nightclub with its own separate entrance, decorated in retro reds and curved lines, that spins the greatest R&B and hip hop tunes every weekend.
Cocktails at The Courthouse err on the side of traditional, with classics like mojitos, daiquiris and white Russians slipping down a storm. There’s also a few modern mixed drinks, like the Toblerone (hazelnut and chocolate liqueur, Irish cream liqueur, honey, milk and cream, shaken and garnished with almond) and the Drunk In Love (fresh lemon and raspberry with vodka and passionfruit liqueur), along with carafes of brightly-coloured concoctions for larger groups. For the more daring, there’s shooters and “shotguns” (more powerful shooters; don’t say we didn’t warn you), as well as several flavors of moonshine. The wine list at The Courthouse is surprisingly lengthy, and features an international selection of reds and whites, along with a handful of champagnes and prosecco-based cocktails.
