Perched on the 63rd floor of The Address in the bustling downtown area of the city, Neos has rapidly established itself as a destination venue, a ‘must-see’ for visitors to the city. You know a place has earned its sky-high reputation when you have to ride not one but two lifts just to get there the first will take you to the 61st floor of the chic hotel, where you change for a special lift that whisks you up the final feet to the bar (mysteriously, there is no stop on the 62nd floor…)
Once inside Neos, the jaw-dropping views will drag you instantly towards the large windows, which reveal The Dubai Mall and its spectacular 270m high fountain jets to the back, with more of the stunning Dubai skyline laid out to the front. The attractive art-deco inspired interior makes for a superb contrast to the glitter of the futuristic Dubai backdrop, and super sleek bar staff in bow ties and white tuxedos for the boys and slinky full length satin for the girls add to the illusion that you have been transformed to another era.
Be warned though – the lofty prices may bring you back to earth with a bump. However, the expense is just about justified by the faultlessly five star food and drink. The international menu features numerous tempting dishes and the cocktails are particularly well executed. The crowd is sophisticated yet nicely mixed, and dressed as befits their surroundings. This is a special place all round, and worth splashing out on.
