This glossy new addition to the Dublin club scene is housed in the Russell Court Hotel, an elegant, if not exactly chic, Georgian affair situated just round the corner from St. Stephen’s Green. Inside, this sleek, appealing venue has a cosy bar area and a heated Mediterranean-style veranda, for perusing the drinks list. Sample a cocktail or two and then hit the dance floor where DJs play a combination of hip-hop, house and funk. Occasional live percussionists add to the mix and the VIP Room boasts a bed with plasma-screen on the ceiling. The crowd is mainly composed of young, well-groomed media and fashion types and the door policy veers towards the strict.
