- Great food

This quirky Scandi -style bar has quickly become a local favourite. A popular spot with Leith’s young professional crowd, it’s a character-rich space, the light attractive room dotted with pretty vintage-style armchairs and the ubiquitous worn-cornered sofas. it boasts a well thought-through drinks list, stuffed full of decent beers and with a great range of local gins too – Edinburgh is so good for gin at the moment. There’s also a strong selection of wines and the bar tenders know how to make a quality cocktail, There’s not much in the way of food available but they can throw together a decent cheeseboard. The atmosphere is a key part of the appeal too, with regular pub quizzes and live music nights as well as comedy and a crowd-pleasing Saturday’ night deal where you can get a Scandi sausage in a bun along with a small beer for the princely price of £4 – you can easily see why people like this spot. The back room is often used for pop-up shops and board game nights, so it’s worth keeping an eye on Boda’s Facebook page if you want to get involved.
