Forth Floor Bar, Harvey Nichols
May 11, 2018
Adorned with a tasteful selection of modern light fixtures and gleaming glassware, the whole bar oozes class and sophistication. Despite all of this, the star of the show is definitely the floor-to-ceiling windows that show off the exquisite views of Edinburgh, the Forth Estuary and Kingdom of Fife.
Order off menu or try one of the delicious libations straight from their exciting cocktail list; the choice is yours. If you do decide to sample one of their original concoctions, opt for the Garden Rose, an effervescent offering made with Edinburgh gin, rose liqueur, cucumber sugar, peach bitters and a generous swig of Harvey Nichols Prosecco. Another great option is Captain Jack’s Gone Coco, a heavenly blend of Jack Daniel’s whiskey, Koko Kanu rum, passion fruit tea, coconut sugar and a squirt of lime juice. There is, of course, an impressive selection of wines, spirits and beers on offer from a variety of exotic locations as well as Harvey Nichols’ own range of carefully curated tipples. Choose your poison and head straight for one of the ever-so-inviting lounge chairs and spend the afternoon sampling some of the city’s best cocktails.
The drinks list, however, is not the only superb menu on offer. Try out a delightful array of dishes created using only the finest of Scottish produce at the Forth Floor Restaurant or dabble in a spot of afternoon tea at the Forth Floor Brasserie, all of which can be enjoyed while also marvelling at the splendid vista laid out before you.
