No prizes for guessing what Whiski specializes in, The bar and restaurant is one of the best whisky bars in Scotland (no mean feat) and they carry some 220 malt whiskies as well as many more blended whiskies and whisky liqueurs. The food (standard pub grub) can be hit and miss but the drinks never disappoint. The décor is traditional and the atmosphere is upbeat with Scottish fiddle music played live during the summer. Its location means it tends to attract a lot of tourists, and it’s easy to see why it would appeal to them this is what one expects a Scottish bar to look and sound like but you just can’t argue with their selection of whiskies and it’s definitely one of the best options on the Mile. They also stay open into the early hours during the Edinburgh Festival.
