67 Sky Lounge Bar @ Principe Hotel
Forte dei Marmi-Centre

The upscale boutique Hotel Principe has much to recommend it, including a “high tech spa” offering oxygen infusions and vitamin injections, but perhaps its most impressive feature is the 67 Sky Lounge Bar. Perched on the hotel’s rooftop, the informal, spacious bar boasts awe-inspiring views of the Tuscan Riviera, taking in the sea, lush greenery and the picture-perfect Apuan Alps beyond. The style is elegant but low-key, with sleek modern furnishings in black and white – there’s not much point trying to compete with those spectacular vistas after all. Vast glass walls blend the inside with the outdoor space, again making the most of the beautiful natural surroundings that stretch as far as the eye can see. Spritzers are something of a speciality here, with a range of inventive variations available – the Garden Spritz brings together Galliano liqueur, juniper berries, rosemary, sage, star anise and Prosecco for a distinctively refreshing tipple. The bar also does a fine line in Martinis and Bellinis. And the extensive spirits list includes an impressive collection of Scotch whiskies, alongside some fine cognacs and of course that Italian favourite, grappa. The food is classically Tuscan, with a range of sandwiches, salads and fruit plates to choose from.
