In the heart of Frankfurt’s ‘hip and getting hipper’ Bahnhofsviertel district, Bar Pracht has quickly become one of the prime spots to sit with a drink or savour a great meal, all while being right smack in the middle of the area’s famed nightlife action. Situated at the bustling corner of Karlstraße and Niddastraße – directly down the street from some of the districts most happening hangouts – your first impression of Bar Pracht is likely to be the lovingly weathered and paint-splashed wooden table located out front. This piece of faded artsy furnishing symbolises the vibe of the bar and restaurant, as Pracht is certainly cutting edge, but it is also casual and approachable. Inside Pracht, the colours are refreshing and fun with whites and pastels balancing out colourful vintage signs and paintings. Both the food and drink offerings at Pracht are certainly on trend, with libations heavy on craft beer, mixes like moscow mules and gin and tonics and a food menu skewing towards international street food. While many locals have made Pracht a favourite spot for an early evening gathering before setting off to bar-hop the Bahnhofsviertel, don’t be surprised if you are among the contingent that is tempted to stay all night to the sounds of their DJs.
