Part live music mecca, part cocktail bar, part place to simply party, Frankfurt’s Gibson Club might only be open three nights a week, but it crams more fun into that trio of evenings than most bars play host to in an entire month. Located in the heart of the German metropolis, Gibson Club is the latest project of a renowned Frankfurt nightlife titan and his equally prolific partners from Mannheim. This team has put together a venue unlike anything else in the city, setting new standards with a stage backed by an ultra-premium sound system, customizable LED wall, and mobile DJ booth. As far as who occupies that cutting edge stage, live concerts are typical on Thursdays, with weekends being the domain of international star DJs or up-and-coming acts. The acts are varied, but always skew towards a high international standard: one night you’ll think you are at a megaclub in Ibiza, the next a concert space in London. As far as libations at Gibson Club are concerned, there are three bars, all adept at mixing a wide repertoire of top flight cocktails and providing premium bottle service while the lights flash and sounds echo in every direction around them. Make note that there is a smart dress code enforced at Gibson Club, which adds a splash of sophistication to the proceedings.
