A cellar speakeasy fronted by one of the finest mixologists in Frankfurt, The Kinly excels at exquisitely crafted cocktails and bowls of playful punches.

Frankfurt is known as a city full of high quality cocktail bars and correspondingly skillful bartenders, and now a team featuring one of the best mixologists in the city has opened their own den of drinks: The Kinly. Located in a nondescript subterranean locale in a trending section of the city, The Kinly is entered through an inconspicuous door, opened only when the buzz from its call button is pressed. After the door swings, you are swiftly greeted with a set of downward steps, and during your descent are swept away to another era entirely. The Kinly has done a fantastic job of recreating Prohibition-era America through the use of low lighting, black-and-white photos, and a staff decked out in vintage attire, and while it is impressive to say the least, it is the cocktails that are the star of the show. No stone has been left unturned in The Kinly’s search for stunning ingredients and flavours, and their constantly changing cocktail assortment – in addition to excellent renditions of all classics –  is home to tantalizing tipples like the recent Slow-Cooked Baked Apple G&T, made of orange and grapefruit peel London dry gin, fresh apple juice, gentian root, cinnamon, vanilla bean, sugar, and soda. Punch is also a passion at The Kinly, and they dispense an assortment of shareable bowls, perfect for enjoying at the ‘punch table’ – which is offset from the main room – with a few of your closest friends. The Kinly’s house punch is a stunner, made of of rum, apple, cardamom, vanilla, sherry, and lemon, and will have you and your friends fight over who gets to dip their ladle next. Photo credit –
