Not many venues in Hanoi can boast that they stay open until 4am (closing time is often midnight around these parts), but Nest Lounge is one such place. Split over three levels, it’s a massive space, complete with sultry lounge bar, dance floor and enviable views over the lake from the floor-to-ceiling windows on the top floor. Decor ranges from funky modern art on the walls to table lamps made from mannequins, angular neon light fixtures and a shiny foosball table for those who aren’t really the drinking-and-dancing types.
Most locals come to Nest Lounge in groups, and order table service of spirits bottles and mixers, although individual mixed drinks and bottled beers (Corona) are also available. To entertain the masses, Nest Lounge hosts some of the best local DJs to provide the bassline for a handful of cage dancers that writhe around in corsets. Despite its penchant for attracting the ‘beautiful people’ of Hanoi, Nest Lounge is not above the odd themed night or two and, as is customary in Vietnam, hosts regular Ladies Nights (and even the odd Gents Night, which we like to see) with discounted drinks offers.
