A power player in both Hong Kong’s electronic dance music scene and cocktail world, Fly is a dream come true for those who take their dancing and deejays as seriously as their drinks.
From the outside, Fly does not resemble the typical club, and you’ll be surprised during your first approach to find that this electronic dance music mecca is home to a leafy and green front garden. The garden, or “front porch” as Fly calls it, features foliage, swings, and even a hopscotch board fancifully painted on the floor. This perfectly illustrates the fact that while Fly has all the best attributes of a deadly serious dance club, it isn’t afraid to have a little laid back fun too. Unlike many other dance clubs in town, the front porch also provides a place where, if you desire, you can start what’s bound to be a high volume evening out on a quiet and chilled out note.
Once inside the adrenaline-pumping club, you are enveloped in a world full of colourful visual effects from a floor-to-ceiling LED wall and music from an elite level sound system, all overseen by internationally acclaimed deejays. Luckily, the bartenders at Fly are not distracted by either the music or the lights and mix fantastic drinks, many with spirits that have been infused with flavour on site. An example is Fly’s signature, the Sawaadini, made with in-house infused lemongrass and kaffir lime vodka with a punch of ginger and chili.
