Geronimo

A party bar like the ones your parents warned you about, Geronimo is quite simply like nothing else in Hong Kong. The second outpost of the world famous Tokyo shot bar, Geronimo specializes in, you guessed it, shooters, and is home to a kitschy atmosphere that feels like it fell off a covered wagon during a Wild West movie shoot.
Shots and debauchery are the name of the game at Geronimo, but it’s not just about walking in, ordering a shot, and sipping it slowly at the bar. Much of the fun at Geronimo is based around the concept of “banging the drum”, which is code for the act of stepping up and buying the entire bar a round of shots after banging a traditional drum (of course). What would motivate one to buy a round of strangers a shot? Well, because in any given month, if someone buys more shots for strangers than anyone else – and there is a huge tallyboard at the bar – they are crowned with the title of “Chief of the Month” and go down in Geronimo shot bar history. As you would imagine, Geronimo offers dozens of shots, with their signature being a short and sweet mix of cranberry, cassis, and lemon aptly named Geronimo. It isn’t all shooters though, as there are standard cocktails and beer available too, but you won’t win any “Chief of the Month” awards by ordering those.
