The Hong Kong Ritz Carlton is a very lavish affair. This is perhaps not surprising given its status as one of the world’s tallest, grandest hotels; it’s exuberant and luxurious, opulent and over-the-top kind of place. This is perhaps most evident in the hotel’s bar and nightspot, Ozone the highest bar on the planet, above sea level at least – designed by Japanese architect agency Wonderwall, a company with a reputation for creating cool spaces (most notably the Bape stores). The bar encompasses the majority of the hotel’s 118th floor and terrace and it’s a dazzler in every sense of the term, an explosive, extravagant sci-fi space, a Star Trek honeycomb of a venue, which grapples with the (glorious) view for dominance and almost wins. Drink one of their signature Dragontinis or a flute or two of champagne and revel in the whole experience. This is a once in a life time kind of venue so dress up, bring a well-stuffed wallet and make some memories. You can expect prices that tally with the sheer scale of the place, so you may as well enjoy it.
