Cafe del Mar is one of the most famous and popular venues in Ibiza. Great tunes and amazing views draws both tourists and locals!

The brainchild of Carlos Andrea, José Les and Ramón Guiral, Cafe del Mar is the place to be when evening comes to Ibiza’s sunset strip. The vibe is fashionable yet fun and relaxed, with a young, party-loving clientele who enjoy the finer things in life – exactly what you want from a bar in this classic holiday destination.

The natural beauty of the beachfront locale is key to the ethos of Cafe del Mar. Here you can soak in the breathtaking spectacle of an Ibizan sunset, surrounded by carefully chosen decor that complements the beauty of the beach. As well as fab food and drink, you’ll also be enjoying a soundtrack of Cafe del Mar’s tunes, which come courtesy of professional DJs, spinning sounds from The Orb, Salt Tank and other big names in the ambient and chill-out genres – the perfect backdrop for your Ibiza experience.

The menu features lavish and inventive dishes, with everything from light tapas to mains. Snacks on offer include fried zucchini blossoms, fresh oysters and various croquettes. Mains are hearty and offer a range of meat, seafood and vegetarian options, with a set menu for groups. The drinks menu is equally creative, with brand new recipes and updated classics. Standout cocktails include the refreshing Gin Apple Garden (made with a blend of gin, apple schnapps and apple juice, flavoured with lemon and mint) and the house’s own Cafe del Martini (vodka, coconut rum, pineapple reduction and lime juice, given a herbal note with fresh basil). Even the sangria – that stolid fixture of any Spanish bar’s menu – is jazzed up with elderflower liqueur and homemade syrup.
