Some Place Else

Some Place Else has been designed to emulate the look and feel of an English pub, but as with most such translations, this is only partially successful which ultimately adds to its appeal. Located inside the Park Hotel, the space is pleasantly decorated with wrought iron and plenty of polished wood. It has a traditional bar area (complete with bar stools), British memorabilia on the walls and a scattering of cosy sofas. They serve a decent pint of beer and the staff is friendly. It’s not a huge venue, but it boasts a small dance floor, which gets fuller as the night wears on. The music is eclectic, though there’s a leaning towards old school pop and shouty rock, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere seals the deal.
