There are few better spots for soaking up some magnificent city views with a drink than Marini’s on 57 in the iconic Petronas Tower 3. This place is quite something. Inside you’ll find a bright, sleek, light-flooded space with floor to ceiling windows which stays open late into the night allowing you to appreciate the view as the sun sets and then prepares to rise again. The furniture is stylish if slightly anonymous, the room bordering on austere, but the view is very much the star of the show here. They serve a short list of mixed drinks as well as a good selection of wine. Signature cocktails include the Espresso Marte-ny 42, a variant on the espresso martini made with bourbon, Frangelico, vanilla syrup, espresso and grated dark chocolate; the Sailor Shrub which is a beautiful blend of spiced rum, pineapple cinnamon shrub, raspberry syrup and fresh lime juice, or you could opt for a crisp glass of fizz. Try and get a table by the window and allow plenty of time to revel in the sprawling city scape, the sky pierced by countless towers, the buildings cloud-wreathed and futuristic.
